This month’s demonstrators were Mike and Cynthia Gibson. Cynthia shared both us the benefits and caveats of correct pyrography including tools, heat settings, design and technique. Mike creates her palettes and shared with us his woodturning prowess including outside beading. Thank you both.

This month’s president’s challenge was to turn a top. There were TWO entries! Congrats to XXXXXXX for a hard fought victory.

Guild Talent at February 2011 Meeting

There was no President’s Challenge this month. It was a pleasure to have Cliff Lounsbury  grace us with his presence and share unique ways to explore what’s possible on the lathe. By stepping outside the nine dots he has carved a niche for himself. Special thanks to the organizers. Here is this month’s exposition of member talent.

Guild Talent at January 2011 Meeting

We wish to thank Wes Jones, Frank Bowers, Mark Sillay, and Steve Pritchard for sharing their wealth of knowledge about the turning, preparing and storing green wood. Face shields down y’all, lathe on! Thank you for all our talented contributors to last months show and tell. Next month we will have slips for you to fill out so we can give credit to the artists and what the wood type is.
