This Wednesday, 8/18/10, Tania Radda from Arizona will present. I have attended a couple of her presentations in the past and they were very interesting. Traditionally, her demonstrations involve decoration and embellishment of her turnings and/or discussion of the creative process. I hope everyone is having a good summer. It is hard to believe that my daughter will be back in school in two weeks (Cherokee County). Judging by the Show ‘n Tell pictures from June’s meeting, at least a few of you are finding the time to turn some nice pieces.

May Demonstration. This Wednesday, 5/19/10, we will host Rudy Lopez from Tampa Florida. Rudy will turn an end grain vase as his demonstration piece. Rudy was at last month’s Southern States Symposium in Gainesville and proved to be an excellent demonstrator! We are delighted to have George Hatfield of Sydney, Australia joining us this Wednesday! George is one of the established great turners and has dedicated much of his life to teaching woodturning. I expect we’ll have a pretty full house.
