ATLANTA WOODTURNERS GUILD BOARD MINUTES
September 2010
The scheduled board meeting for the Atlanta Woodturning Guild met with quorum in place and was called to order by President Kurt Whitley at 5. 35pm 15 September 2010. A motion to accept the August minutes as written was presented by Bob Greenberg, seconded by John Rudert, and accepted unanimously. Treasury Report Doug Lichliter reported that we have just over $3000.00 in the treasury.

The scheduled board meeting for the Atlanta Woodturning Guild met with quorum in place and was called to order by President Kurt Whitley at 5.45pm 18 August 2010. A motion by Bob Greenberg to accept the July minutes as written was presented seconded by John Rudert and accepted unanimously. Treasury Report There was no Treasury report for this meeting. General Business
A general discussion was opened by Mike Peace wherein he expressed his views on the confusion in the AWG By-laws concerning the language covering the designation of a General Member as qualification to vote for officers of AWG, and also the confusion concerning those members qualified to vote for amendment changes to the By-laws. Several views were heard and discussed and in order to clarify the issue a motion was asked for.

The scheduled board meeting for the Atlanta Woodturning Guild met with quorum in place and was called to order by the President Kurt Whitley at 5.40pm 21 July 2010. There was one guest Betty Fugate – AWG Newsletter Editor. A motion to accept the June minutes as written was presented and amended as follows. The “Turning Event” in conjunction with the annual AWG toy making project will be held at Woodcraft Sunday 22 August from 10am – 4pm – NOT SUNDAY 29 AUGUST as previously stated. Treasury Report Doug Lichliter reported that we have $3450.00 in the treasury and have 51 fully paid members.

BOARD MINUTES May 2010 The scheduled board meeting for the Atlanta Woodturning Guild met with quorum in place and was called to order by the President Kurt Whitley 19 May 2010. The Secretary was absent for this meeting and brief notes were taken by the President Kurt Whitley and compiled by the Secretary at a later date.
BOARD MINUTES April 2010 The scheduled board meeting for the Atlanta Woodturning Guild met with quorum in place and was called to order by the President Kurt Whitley at 5.30pm 21 April 2010. A motion to accept the March minutes as written was presented by Bob Greenberg and one correction was requested: Jim Hardy has accepted the position of Librarian – not Treasurer – to replace Tom Smith who resigned. The motion was seconded by Chris Burfield and with this correction the minutes were accepted unanimously. |
