Fellow Turners: It is very important that you mark your calendars for our next meeting which will be on Wednesday January 21, 7PM at Woodcraft. Our program Chairman, Harvey Meyer has once again gotten us an outstanding demonstrator for the evening. Mike Mahoney is flying in and doing a workshop at Highland Hardware and will be coming out to our club. What a treat. The meeting will be devoted almost exclusively to his demonstration.

ATLANTA WOODTURNERS GUILD December 17th 2008 The scheduled Board meeting for the Atlanta Woodturners Guild met as scheduled with a quorum in place, and was called to order by the President Mr. Bob Greenberg at 5.30pm December 17th 2008. General Business The President announced that the final $200.00 of the education grant from by A.A.W. has been received and deposited to the Guild account. A general discussion was held in regard to non-members (guests) attending Guild meetings and how they should be converted to members and also how to limit their continued attendance as a guest and not be a member of the Guild. There was further discussion on limiting the amount of time spent on following up with guests in order to convert them to members. For the November 19, 2008 meeting, Frank Bowers returns for an encore demonstration. Many of the early club members will remember Frank from his last demo back in October 2007. Frank will demonstrate how he turns natural edge bowls. For those of you who don’t know Frank, he is a well known demonstrator and instructor here [...] Our next meeting will be on Wednesday November 19th, 7 PM at the Woodcraft Store 8560 Holcomb Bridge Road.
