ATLANTA WOODTURNERS GUILD
AMMENDED BOARD MINUTES
November 2009
The scheduled board meeting for the Atlanta Woodturning Guild met with quorum in place and was called to order by the President Bob Greenberg 18 November 2009.

General Business
Bob Greenburg Greenberg reported that he has received an e-mail from Hought Wahl of AAW requesting our support for Woodturners aid in Samoa. After discussion it was decided that due to the fact AWG is a new club and that we are already very involved in community service through our annual toy drive we could not support Hought’s request. Bob forwarded the entire e-mail to the full membership so that individuals could decide for themselves if they wished to donate personally.
Tom, Ruppert and Bob went to Mark Sillay’s shop and purchased all the wood needed for our future workshops and general meeting raffles. Mark also donated two gift certificates for our raffle which are worth more than the wood that was purchased. Our grateful thanks to Mark for this kind gesture.
Bob spoke with the restaurant personal at Mona Lisa and they suggested one large pizza for every three individuals attending our Holiday function on the 16 December. They also agreed to deliver the pizzas to Woodcraft.
It is requested that all officers and board members should plan to arrive at Woodcraft no later than 6.30pm on the 16th to assist in setting up for the function.
The board requested a written financial statement be submitted to the board at our December meeting.
A motion to amend the Guild By-Laws was made as follows:
- The Secretary of the club shall be responsible for the maintenance of all club records.
The motion was seconded and approved unanimously.
There being no further business the President adjourned the meeting.

General Membership Meeting
The motion to amend the By-Laws was subsequently read to the general membership, and approved. and will be voted on by the general membership at the December meeting.
Further at the general meeting the following officers and directors were unanimously elected by the membership for the year 2010.
