BOARD MINUTES
June 2009
The scheduled board meeting for the Atlanta Woodturners Guild met with a quorum in place. The meeting was called to order by the President Bob Greenberg at 5.40pm 17 June 2009.

Program Chair
Harvey Meyer announced that the demonstrator for the July meeting will be Bruce Bell from Australia.
General Business
Jon Payne the Guild’s Webmaster notified the Board by e-mail that the full paid membership list is now posted on our web site. This list is password protected.
There was a general discussion amongst the board members on two items. Should items for sale from the members or in general be posted on the Guild web site. This discussion resulted in an item to Swop or Sell Tools and Equipment for members only on the guild web site.
A second item of discussion covered placing links on the Guild web site for a Resource and/or Vendor list. This list to be provided to the Webmaster, Jon Payne.
A motion was presented by Dave Martin.
- To be discussed with Jon Payne – Webmaster, the feasibility of creating a page on the web site for members of the Guild to list items for “swop & sell”. These items would be strictly related to woodturning.
The motion was seconded by Tom Smith, put to the vote of the board and was passed unanimously.
A motion was presented by Chris Burfield.
- To create a page on the Guild web site that would provide links to woodturning resources and vendors directly related to woodturning.
The motion was seconded by Dave Martin, put to the vote and passed unanimously.
Bob Greenberg volunteered to discuss the “Swop & Sell” web page with Jon Payne to see if the proposal is feasible and how it could be managed. Bob also agreed to provide an initial list of vendors and resources
as he had a list he used. He mentioned that this list could be expanded by member suggestion based on their own individual preferences.
There being no further business, the meeting was adjourned at 6.30pm.
