Fellow turners, Just a few brief comments are in order. As expected the demonstration last Wednesday evening was just plain fun. The demonstrator, a delightful Englishman, had a different word for everything, a wonderful sense of humor and his skill level certainly made it look easy. I know those who attended truly enjoyed the evening.
For those of you who were unable to attend the meeting, the future of our club is in your hands. We need a slate of officers for the upcoming year. I have asked the existing officers to consider continuing in their present positions or to change position. I have not spoken with any officer as that it is responsibility of the nominating committee. What I can say is that I have served in various positions including president of two clubs and have gotten ten time more out of it than the little extra time I had to devote to my duties. Please consider accepting a position and call one of the two members of the committee. They are David Martin 770-891-1686 and Paul Vondersaar 770-271-7596. You are always welcome to call me at any time to discuss this or any other club business. My telephone number is 770-392-9296.
Finally, I spoke to Norman Lavoie and his heart surgery was a complete success. He will be returning our meetings beginning next month. No news could be better.
