December Meeting Notes

Presentation

Our presenter for December was Peggy Schmid.
Peggy formally studied Fine Art with an emphasis in sculpture and began turning nine years ago. She brought four different Christmas ornaments which she sells – Santa Claus, Toy Soldier, Snowman, and Angel. Members chose the Toy Soldier followed by Santa as demonstration projects.

The President’s Challenge for December

Members were encouraged to turn a name badge for the December 19 meeting. Several interesting badges were turned, but two stood out of the crowd and were chosen as finalists: Bob Aldea’s functioning Whistle/Recorder and Rebekah Quattlebaum’s “Skews on a Platter”. A vote was taken and Rebekah’s badge won!

The President’s Challenge for January

Members are challenged to turn a heart for the January 16th meeting.

Also, the club needs a logo and members are asked to submit designs at the January meeting.
